Our certified technicians have been repairing hybrid and electric vehicles for over 15 years. Unlike many body shops we fix all mechanical issues in house. Which comes in handy when you consider things like the following:
BEFORE REPAIRS BEGIN
All service requirements for the various systems must first be fully understood, for example the engine cooling system. Damaged body panel(s) must be removed to check for any HV system wires, connectors, modules or batteries that might have also sustained damage. The proper air conditioning system service equipment and oils must be used to exclude the system from getting contaminated.
DURING THE TEARDOWN AND REASSEMBLY PHASES
The HV’s electrical propulsion system must be disabled before any work can begin. If there’s anybody body damage in the vicinity of the HV system, the HV system must be totally disabled before proceeding. Confirming that the HV system is shut down should be done by using a high-quality digital volt-ohm meter. All disconnected connectors must be kept free of dirt, fluid or contamination. If the HV system seems intact with no compromises and appears to be safe to power up, the technician must first scan the vehicle to identify any HV system issues. Those will show up as an HV system error message or if MIL or DTCs are present.

In 1984, Bernie Gates' dream of opening a body shop became a reality when he and his wife Laurie opened Prestige Auto Collision in Mission Viejo. The shop consisted of 1 building on a sleepy street lined with shops servicing the car industry. They would see many businesses come and go. Prestige would weather many storms and continue to steadily grow. The business would expand, taking over the lot. Utilizing 4 buildings and over 40,000 sq. ft. of secured facilities. This would only be the beginning and the company would expand to include Prestige South and Fabricante. The business continues to employ many members of the family from grandparents to grandchildren.
My 2008 Nissan Altima was looking pretty neglected and tired from being left out in the elements. I went to Prestige auto Collision in Lake Forest and spoke to Jose. Great job on my car. They even fixed a small dent that geico wouldn't pay for that was likely caused by the accident. Also car went in filthy and came out detailed.
